Recruitment Notification for Trade-2 (Special Profession)

• Application Start Date: February 28, 2025
• Application Deadline: March 30, 2025
• Recruitment Process: The selection process for male and female candidates for Trade-2 (Special Profession) will take place at designated cantonments.
• Application Fee: BDT 300 (BDT 200 for the entrance test + BDT 100 for online registration).

Eligibility Criteria

A. Age Limit (as of February 1, 2026)

• General Candidates: 17-20 years (Affidavits for age proof are not acceptable).
• Experienced Cooks: Age limit is relaxed to 21 years.

B. Educational Qualification

• Minimum Requirement: SSC or equivalent with a GPA of at least 2.50.
• Higher GPA: Candidates with GPA 3.00 or above may be considered for Trade-1.

C. Trade-Specific Skills

• Cooks: Must be skilled in cooking.
• Bandsmen: Preference for candidates proficient in playing musical instruments (e.g., drum, brass band, clarinet, bagpipe, trumpet, etc.).
• Painters & Decorators/Painters: Must have painting skills.
• Carpenters: Must be skilled in woodworking.
• Tin Smiths: Must be skilled in welding.

Physical Requirements

• Ethnic Minority Candidates: Minimum height requirement is 1.63 meters (5’4”) for males and 1.52 meters (5’0”) for females.

Additional Requirements

• Nationality: Must be a Bangladeshi citizen.
• Health Status: Must pass the medical examination.
• Marital Status: Must be unmarried (widowed/divorced individuals are not eligible).
• Swimming Ability: Must be able to swim at least 50 meters.

Required Documents for Admission

Candidates must bring the following original and attested copies:

1. Academic certificates and mark sheets.
2. A character certificate with permanent address and date of birth issued by the head of the educational institution.
3. Consent letter from a parent or guardian (attested by the local chairman).
4. Citizenship and character certificate issued by the local chairman.
5. Birth certificate and national ID (if available).
6. Attested copies of the parents’ national ID cards.
7. Recent passport-size photographs (6 copies) and stamp-size photographs (2 copies).
8. Proof of ethnic minority status (if applicable).
9. Entry pass printed from the online application portal.

Application Process (Via SMS & Online)

Step 1: Initial SMS Application

Candidates must send an SMS from a Teletalk Prepaid SIM in the following format to 16222:

General Candidates:

Children of Army Personnel (SS Candidates):

Step 2: Confirmation SMS

• If the candidate is eligible, they will receive an SMS with a PIN number.
• To proceed, they must send a second SMS in the following format to 16222:

SAINIK <space> YES <space> PIN Number <space> Contact Number  
Example: SAINIK YES 894098 01XXXXXXXXX  

• Application Fee: BDT 300 will be deducted from the mobile balance.

Female candidates must replace “SAINIK” with “FSAINIK” in all SMS applications.

Step 3: Online Registration

• Candidates will receive a User ID and Password via SMS.
• They must log in to http://sainik.teletalk.com.bd and upload a color photo (300×300 pixels, max 100KB).
• After completing the online form, candidates must print their admit card within 7 days.

• Medical Examination
• Physical Fitness Test
• Written Exam (Bangla, English, Mathematics, General Knowledge & Intelligence)
• Interview

Disqualification Criteria

The following individuals are ineligible to apply:

1. Those dismissed from government service.
2. Individuals convicted in criminal cases.
3. Candidates previously removed from military training institutions.

Training Duration

Selected candidates must complete a 36-week basic military training program.

Admit Card & Exam Date

• Candidates must print the admit card within 7 days of completing their online registration.
• Exam dates and venues will NOT be mentioned on the admit card for security reasons.
• Candidates will receive their exam schedule 72 hours before the test via SMS from Teletalk.
